EU CBD Regulatory Framework
CBD is classified as a Novel Food under EU Regulation 2015/2283. As of 2026, over 200 applications have been submitted to EFSA but no CBD products have received full Novel Food authorization. In February 2026, EFSA published a provisional safe intake level for CBD, providing a regulatory benchmark.
The EU raised the hemp THC limit from 0.2% to 0.3% effective January 1, 2023 under the reformed CAP. However, member states set their own thresholds for finished products. Our ingredients are manufactured with THC ND (Non-Detectable), well below all thresholds.
